The Monterey County Film Commission is a non-profit organization proactively marketing Monterey County as a destination for the motion picture, television and related industries, for the purpose of stimulating economic development, creating jobs, providing and supporting educational opportunieies in these areas.
The primary activity of the film commission is promotion and marketing of Monterey County locations, crew and services to the film industry and responding to film industry requests. Marketing activities include film industry trade shows, trade advertising, direct mail, publication of a film resources guide, familiarization tours, sales calls and more. Film industry assistance includes quick and timely response with appropriate information including, but not limited to, photographs of countywide locations.
