The Last Bandoleros and Escondido will be taking the stage at Folktale Winery & Vineyard’s Barrel Room on Monday, September 25th, from 6pm – 9pm, for the next installment of the Live in the Vines Concert Series presented by KRML Radio and Folktale Winery.
Rolling Stone describes The Last Bandoleros as “a ferocious Tex-Mex tinged band” with a “sound that’s hard to get out of your head.” The foursome has spent the summer touring across Europe and South America with Sting and is currently out on their own headlining the “Crooked Little Halo” Tour. Made up of Jerry Fuentes (guitar and vocals), Derek James (guitar and vocals), Diego Navaira (bass and vocals) and Emilio Navaira (drums and vocals), The Last Bandoleros will be making their debut on the historic Grand Ole Opry stage on September 15 before taking the stage in the Barrel Room at Folktale Winery on September 25th.
The Chicago Sun-Times describes Escondido’s sound as “steeped in Southwest fantasia, with swirling trumpets, guitar twang, acoustic guitars and slow-motion reverb.” Consisting of Jessica Maros and Tyler James, the duo released their debut album, The Ghost of Escondido, which was recorded live in one day, in 2013 and earned spots on soundtracks to multiple films and TV shows including HBO’s Girls and Sex Tape and led to appearances on CONAN and ABC’s Nashville. Following tours with Lord Huron, The Lone Bellow, and Wild Cub, Escondido released their follow-up album, Walking With A Stranger, in February 2016.
Bring your appetites as Chef Todd Fisher and his team will be cooking up some delicious eats available for purchase. We’ll also have a wine, beer, and cash bar.
