To celebrate their new menu, and the arrival of autumn, Folktale Winery & Vineyards is throwing a neighborhood pizza party!!!
With the addition of a wood burning oven to our Wine Garden, Chefs Todd Fisher and Danny Leach have crafted unique artisan pizzas to pair with our delicious wines. Come enjoy a fun night of wine and pizza pairings in the Folktale Wine Garden on Wednesday, September 27th from 5pm-8pm. Pizza pairing will be complimentary with purchase of a glass of wine, and new salads and shared plates will be available for purchase.
Pizza Party will feature the following pairings:
Fig & Pig pizza + 2014 Estate Pinot Noir – The pepper and minerality of our Pinot perfectly balances out the palate when combined with Baker’s Bacon, fig jam, pickled red onions, and Schoch Dairy Aged Jack Cheese, finished with arugula & pecorino cheese.
Indian Summer pizza + 2015 Estate Chardonnay – Delicious shaved summer squash, heirloom tomatoes, charred corn, greens, and burrata, finished with pea greens and parmesan, pairs perectly with the rich notes of vanilla, toasted marshmallow, and tropical fruits in our Chardonnay.
Fun-Guy Mushroom pizza + 2014 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir – With flavors of wild strawberry, earthiness, and orange peel the SLH Pinot Noir goes greatl with our Fun-Guy’s roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, garlic cream, goat cheese and crispy kale chips.
Carnivore pizza + 2015 Le Mistral Joseph’s Blend – you’ll find that the dark fruit, dried tobacco leaves, and aged leather flavors in this wine are amplified when paired with the Carnivore pizza’s meaty flavor combination of salami piccante, Cowboy Sausage, sopresatta, San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella and fontina, finished with shaved speck and garlic chips.
