Folktale Winery and Talking Animals Music are excited to present “Under the Influence of Monterey Pop” on Sunday, June 11th! Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love at this concert benefiting the Peterson Family Foundation. Performing songs from the original 1967 festival, local musical artists will also be showcasing some of their original songs inspired by such performers as Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Buffalo Springfield, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Otis Redding, Simon & Garfunkel, plus many more!

This show will also include a performance of Pete Townsend’s first rock opera, “A Quick One While He’s Away.” This 10-minute rock opera is a precursor to “Tommy” and its performance at the Monterey Pop Festival marked the first time a rock opera was performed in the US!
