So it’s a good thing we’re in the business of growing grapes and making wine, because nothing makes us happier than sharing the product of our passion and bringing joy to others. What better way to gather people together, celebrate life, relax, smile and laugh than a fantastic bottle of wine enjoyed with friends?
Well, maybe there is one other thing that makes us happy—farming. Through determination, an unyielding work ethic, vision and innovation, our multi-generational family operation has grown from humble beginnings farming and harvesting grapes into the sophisticated, sustainable and vertically-integrated wine business we are today.

They’re produced in small lots at our state-of-the-art winery, partially-powered by clean, renewable energy we create with our solar farm on our SIP Certified home estate vineyard.

If you don’t have time for the scenic drive down the River Road Wine Trail to visit our home estate vineyard, you can also experience our signature Smith family generosity—and wines!—at our adorable second tasting room in Carmel-by-the-Sea. It’s just a few blocks from iconic Carmel beach, and the perfect spot to sample our wines before walking down the block for a surf-side picnic.
