Folktale Winery is excited to welcome back Lou Evans for another night of live music from 4:30-7:30pm in their Wine Garden! Lou is a singer/songwriter based in San Francisco, CA. After playing professional baseball in the Florida Marlins Minor League system from 2001-2005, he decided to pursue a career in music and tried out for American Idol, earning himself a spot as one of the Season 4 contestants. He has since been writing, composing, and performing soulful, soaring, beautiful/tragic melodies with elements of darkness and light. After performing the National Anthem at a San Francisco Giants game and a Golden State Warriors game, Lou released his first EP (All a Dream..) in October 2013. A couple years later in 2015, he finally released his first official music video for “Light on Your Toes,” off of his full length album “Lost then Found.” Bring your friends and family out and enjoy a good time together! Join Folktale Winery & Vineyards for another night of “Folk in the Gallery” with Talmon Owens! After opening their our Live in the Vines concert with Brett Dennen last August, Folktale is excited to welcome him to their stage in the Gallery!! Growing up in a family of musicians, Talmon began playing guitar at an early age and formed a pop-punk band in high school. Over the years, his musical taste has diversified and his interest shifted towards the role of a singer/songwriter. His self-titled album, released in 2014, drew inspiration from living in Big Sur California, penning many of the songs on Pfeiffer beach itself. The song, “Sycamore Trees,” is his latest single and he is currently working on an EP. Stop by and enjoy another fun night of Folk in the Gallery from 4:30-7:30pm! No cover. About Kate Kate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, a Holistic Health Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification through Vinyasa Yoga School in Rishikesh, India. She has been trained in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga- asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy and yoga therapy. She is also a Reiki 1 & 2 practitioner. Kate’s teaching combines ancient yogic technique with modern understanding to create a felt energetic experience of alignment and balance. She currently teaches weekly classes at Esalen Institute. *Remember to bring your mat!

About the artist: Kris Angelis grew up on a farm, writing songs with her twin sister in their treehouse. She’s toured all over the US and Europe and at festivals including SXSW, Edinburgh Fringe, Sundance, and NAMM. Her first full-length album, “The Left Atrium” was awarded Best Female Album of 2013 by the LA Music Critics Awards. Kris was just awarded Best Female Artist in the 2017 International Acoustic Music Awards and is a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. The title track from her upcoming indie-pop EP, “Heartbreak Is Contagious’ is featured on Relix Magazine’s first ever “Women Who Rock” sampler CD in their September/October 2016 issue and can be heard throughout Season 2 of AwesomenessTV’s show Guidance.

The Coffis Brothers, The Hashknife Outfit, and Tom VandenAvond will be taking the stage at Folktale Winery and Vineyard’s Barrel Room on Thursday, August 10th, from 6pm – 9pm, for the next installment of the Live in the Vines Concert Series presented by KRML and Folktale Winery. The Coffis Brothers & The Mountain Men are a rootsy rock n’ roll band born and raised in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Songwriters Jamie and Kellen Coffis blend folk, blues, R&B, and straight-ahead rock that are evidence of an upbringing spent listening to all of the right records from Tom Petty, Neil Young, and The Beatles. Their second full-length album, “Wrong Side of The Road,” was recorded at Gadgetbox Studios in Santa Cruz with engineer and producer Andy Zenczak and features contributions from friends of the band like Jim Lewin, Ryan Avellone, and jazz vocalist Tammi Brown. Jamie and Kellen will be joined by Kyle Poppen on lead guitar, Aidan Collins on bass, and Henry Chadwick on drums. Opening for The Coffis Brothers is The Hashknife Outfit and Tom VandenAvond. Originally from West Palm Beach, FL, this indie-acoustic/folk band is composed of husband and wife Billy Schmidt and Rachel DuVall-Schmidt, who relocated to California in February 2017. Previously part of the indie alt-rock band, Raggy Monster, the two have shared the stage as direct opener for such artists as: – Charlie Daniels – Smashing Pumpkins – The Misfits – Train at Sunfest 2013 The couple has received several awards, including: – Best Music Video 2016 – Best Rock Band 2016 – Best Local Band at Sunfest 2013 And have been featured in: – RockOnPhilly – South Florida New Times – Cliche’ Magazine – Pure Honey Magazine – BalconyTV as an editor’s pick Their hauntingly soothing indie/folk acoustic sound and thought-provoking lyrics earned them international radio airplay with their first single “Morning Snow.” Their third album is set for a late 2017 release, and promises to be their “most ambitious project to date.”
Race through the vineyards and trails of the beautiful Paraiso Vineyards in Soledad, Ca. The start time for the 5K Wicked Run begins at 5:00pm and the 1K Wicked Tasting Walk begins at 6:30pm. 5K participants are required to finish in one hour or less.
