With the privilege to work and live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, comes the responsibility to manage our resources and ensure harmony between all aspects. This stewardship is deeply embedded in the day-to-day lives of the viticulture industry. Examples of this ownership can be seen in our involvement with the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary, Seafood Watch, Condors, Water and Land Management.
Sustainability may be a current catch phrase, but it has long been standard operating procedure for Monterey County vintners. Our local winegrowers were early proponents of careful, conscientious farming practices and protocols in order to protect our valuable resources that include the Monterey Bay, natural habitats and wildlife, agricultural land, economic vitality and social consciousness.
